Spicy & Creamy Avocado Hummus
Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • ¾ tablespoon tahini paste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon fine grain sea salt
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (or more as desired)
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil
  • Cayenne pepper to garnis

Directions:

  1. Crush the garlic and one-half teaspoon salt in amortar (or in a small bowl) until pureed.
  2. Transfer the puree to the bowl of a food processor (or blender), add the tahini paste and lemon juice and process until white and contracted.
  3. Add avocado, cumin, and cayenne pepper and pulse until totally smooth, at least 60 seconds.
  4. If too thick, thin to desired consistency by adding a bit of water, one tablespoon at a time.
  5. Serve, sprinkled with cayenne and drizzled with olive oil.
